“Dudleys Diner and Drive-Thru” is a concept restaurant chain that aims to make freshly prepared food more accessible in order to promote nutritional health in older generations. The challenge was to adapt a universally palatable and consistent brand system to the uniquely nostalgic style of the Baby Boom generation of the 1950s.
The brand took on a warm, bright color palette with inspiration from restaurant signage at the time, playing on the simplicity of neon and block designs. The system was constructed to bring consistency to the familiarity and repeatability that is necessary to generate brand loyalty. It was then applied to the packaging and environmental signage, where it would be most widely seen in locations.
